RUSH: Here is Daniel in Virginia Beach. Great to have you, sir. Welcome to the EIB Network.
RUSH: You know, that’s a great way of looking at this. This is the Steele dossier 2020. The Steele dossier was totally made up, and look what we got out of it. So here comes the Mueller report: The Steele dossier 2020. In fact, I have here footnote 112. This is a footnote about the pee tape from the report. This is the golden showers story where supposedly Trump found out he was sleeping in the same bed Obama slept in and called somebody to get some prostitutes over there to pee on the bed.
“Comey’s briefing included the Steele reporting’s unverified allegation that the Russians had compromising tapes of the president involving conduct when he was a private citizen during a 2013 trip to Moscow for the Miss Universe Pageant. During the 2016 presidential campaign … Michael Cohen received a text from Russian businessman Giorgi Rtskhiladze that said, ‘Stopped flow of tapes from Russia but not sure if there’s anything else.'”
It goes on to say that Rtskhiladze said that he was told the tapes were fake but he did not communicate that to Cohen! Now, that’s not the point. The point is that right here: In footnote 112 of the Mueller report (I think it’s page 27), they acknowledge that the pee tape story in the dossier was fake. They used it to get a FISA warrant and three renewals to spy on the Trump campaign, while even in their report they acknowledge that it was fake.

RUSH: And the latest from the Drive-Bys: Mueller: Obstruction by Trump Failed Because Others Refused to ‘Carry Out Orders.’” They are doing their level best to distort everything that is said in this report, but I believe Mueller wrote it specifically the way he did to permit it to be distorted.
The Mueller report itself documents that the Steele dossier is fake! And that’s all there ever was. Why is that not one of the lead headlines? And the reason is is because Mueller has already concluded there wasn’t any collusion, so now the effort is underway to rewrite what Mueller says in this report about his inability to conclude whether or not Trump obstructed justice.

RUSH: Now, I also was reading a little bit in Politico today, and they claim to have a leak into the inspector general’s investigation. The inspector general is looking into the FISA warrant process in all of this. Politico claims that the focus of this, one of the focuses of this is Christopher Steele, the author of the fake, phony, contrived dossier. We’re supposed to hear the results of that sometime next month or June. That will happen probably before we hear anything from Mueller.
And I don’t know that we will actually be told that from Barr and I don’t know that we’re gonna be told on the day Barr begins that he has begun. I have no idea how this is gonna transpire. But look, folks, you and I are not alone here and we’re not alone including people in Washington.
I’m just gonna tell you this. There are people in Washington who are just as livid about all of this for the exact same reasons you and I are. They know this was a coup, and they are livid about it, and they are intent on getting to the bottom of it. And I’m not talking about Trump and his White House staff in the Oval Office or the West Wing. I think Barr is one of them, but he’s not alone.
There are a lot of people just as ticked off, and they know exactly what this was. They have to treat it as an investigation and they have to follow along with the premises, since it got started that way they have to deal with it as it came out, report comes out, deal with it, the end of the investigation. But I guarantee you there are smart people just as mad as you and I are who want to get to the bottom of how this happened primarily for two reasons.
Make sure it doesn’t happen again, but also to clean up the Department of Justice. It has been polluted and corrupted in ways that I think careerists and lifists there never thought it could be. And there are those I am convinced who want certain heads to roll because of this. Meaning there are still, what you and I would call good people there. But they’re gonna be acting stealthfully because once they get going, they themselves are gonna become targets.

RUSH: Polling data here. Our last caller said, “We gotta do something here because most people don’t know about Hillary Clinton and Steele and all that.” Look. I read the footnote. I’ll get to the poll here in a minute. But whenever I can illustrate a point I take the occasion to do it.
I read the footnote from the Mueller report where the Mueller report acknowledges that the golden shower story of Trump hiring prostitutes to pee on a bed that Obama had slept in in Moscow is fake. Now, what that means is that the special counsel’s report acknowledges that the dossier is fake. To this day there is not one element of it that has been verified or corroborated, and even Steele on the stand in the U.K. admitted it, the author.
It boggles my mind. I know that we have a segment of the population that watches nothing but Drive-By Media so it makes logical sense. I guess it’s more frustrating and disappointing to me than it is surprising.
So there’s a tweet, a little story from Slate.com, after they discovered that footnote in the Mueller report. And it reads thus: “Unfortunately for Twitter, this section does not confirm the existence of the pee tape or really anything new about it. Instead, it just relays that a Russian businessman involved in the Trump Tower Moscow project at one point said that the tapes were fake.”
Headline: “Pee Tape: Everything the Mueller report says about the Steele dossier allegation, fake.” And there are people on Twitter whose day has been destroyed ’cause of this ’cause they have believed all this time that it really happened and everything else in the Steele dossier really happened.
And then I start wondering, how in the world can we ever have a decent country with this degree, this number of ill-informed, misinformed, totally ignorant people? What does it mean for elections going forward? I know, look. This is nothing new. The Founding Fathers tried to accommodate a certain level of ignorance, especially back then when there was no such thing as instant communications. It was much tougher to run presidential campaigns back in the early days of the country than it is today. So they attempted to account for a certain degree of ignorance. Not stupidity, ignorance. But this, this is another thing.
