This Sound Bite Tells Us How Much the Left Has Changed Our Country in 30 Years

by Rush Limbaugh - Mar 12,2019

RUSH: I have a soundbite from Al From. Does that name ring a bell? Al From ran the DNC during the Bill Clinton nineties. In fact, let me get to that right now. Let me find this. This is fascinating. Grab sound bite number 23. Now, this is from Sunday, Showtime, The Circus. This is the show that Alex Wagner, Mark McKinnon and Heilemann have on Showtime. And it’s to document the comings and goings in the D.C. deep state, the administrative state, the swamp, the apparatus actually running that town.

They’re talking to the former Democrat Leadership Council founder Al From. I’m sorry, he was not the DNC. Democrat Leadership Council. This is a Clinton organization set up above and beyond or apart from the Democrat National Committee. And the purpose of the Democrat Leadership Council was to identify issues specifically generational to the Clinton administration and Clinton era and target those issues for the purposes of reelection and so forth.

So here is the question from Alex Wagner: “Today there are some people that look at the crime bill, look at welfare reform, look at trade policy, look at deregulation and they say, ‘We need to get away from those kinds of ideas.’” Now, listen to From’s answer here, folks.

FROM: The policies that we enacted were designed to meet the problems of the late ’80s and early ’90s. In 1992, for example, 90% of the electorate approximately was white. The rest were African-Americans. There weren’t enough Hispanics voting to show up in the exit polls in 1992.

WAGNER: Things have changed.

FROM: It’s a different country. And so you need policies that are different.

RUSH: Now, this, folks, puts into focus how much the left has changed this country through immigration and how quickly they have done it. In 1992, 90% of the electorate — now, you may think, “Well, Rush, this is old news.” Yeah, yeah, yeah. We’ve all known this. But it’s a great way to put into perspective — 1992 is less than 30 years ago. We’re talking a generation. That is lickety-split when you’re talking about lifetimes of nations or just the human timeline.

So in 1992, 90% of the electorate was white; the rest were African-Americans. There weren’t enough Hispanics to show up in the exit polls. Now, I’m telling you, this puts into focus how drastically they have changed — the Democrats — how drastically they have changed the country through immigration and how quickly they have done it.

The Democrat Party of Clinton cannot exist with the Democrat base of today. The Democrat base today is so different from Clinton’s years. Back then it was white working class, it was blue-collar, it was practically 95%… the African-American population. That Democrat base, when you hear people say, “This is not your dad’s Democrat Party,” this is exactly what it means.

We have now imported the Third World! The Democrat Party has imported the Third World into this country. And they have not assimilated, and this is why the Democrat Party is now demanding Third World policies. The Democrat Party is not forcing all of these people they have enabled entry into this country via illegal immigration, they’re not forcing assimilation. They’re not encouraging assimilation. And they haven’t been encouraging these people to assimilate, become Americans. They don’t care! They just want bodies with a (D) next to their name on a voter registration roll.

So they’ve imported the Third World — and I don’t mean this in a pejorative sense. I’m talking to you in a politically analytical sense, political, analytical sense. That’s whose come into the country. Exceptions, of course, on the legal immigration side. But focusing on illegal immigration, we now have a totally different demographic, which everybody knows.

But the problem is they are Third World! And so today’s Democrat Party has to come up with Third World policies to appeal to these people as voters and maybe even you could say they don’t have to, they just are. Does anybody find — in this context is it odd that you’ve got a bunch of young Millennials running around touting socialism and all these wonderful things? That’s the experience these new arrivals, as Pelosi calls them now, the newcomers, that’s their experience.

You might say, “Yeah, but that’s the experience they’re fleeing.” Yeah, but they don’t know socialism from communism. They just know poverty and so forth. And so the Democrats are promising the opposite of poverty. That’s the point of their message.

To me this is striking. And what adds insult to this is that the Republican Party has played a significant role in the invasion of or the importation of, quote, unquote, the Third World into the United States via illegal immigration.

I also think this is another reason, somewhat distant, but I think this is one of the reasons why Hillary Clinton does not relate. She’s still stuck in the nineties. That was one of her problems in the 2016 campaign. She’s still stuck in the nineties. That’s how she sees the world with this vast right-wing conspiracy trying to stop her and ruin her life and her husband’s life.

So it’s a great illustration of just how drastically the Democrat Party has — and how quickly they have changed this country, and, I don’t care what anybody says — not for the better.
