The End of the iPhone Isn’t Near

by Rush Limbaugh - Jan 11,2019

RUSH: We haven’t touched on something that happened during the break, and that was the massive stop or drop in the price of Apple stock. I haven’t touched on this subject, and I intended to on the first day back, and I just never got to it and still haven’t.

And there is a story in the Wall Street Journal — and it’s just one of many — that ever since Apple reissued guidance and lowered their profit estimates, their revenue estimates by an additional $5 billion that the story — in tech media — and not just tech media, by the way, but like the Wall Street Journal has tech reporters and they do reports on the tech industry. The media, tech and otherwise, treats Apple like mainstream media treats Republicans and conservatives. It’s stunning.

And all of these little bloggers, these Millennials, the degree of hatred for Apple — and, by the way, it’s not because of anything Apple does politically. It’s not disagreement with Apple on societal, cultural, or political issues. It’s something totally different than that. I think it has to do with the fact they’re so big and powerful. But, regardless, the hate is real.

And the Wall Street Journal has a story, headline: “Polaroid. Walkman. Palm Pilot. iPhone?” Meaning, this is it, it’s over for the iPhone. The iPhone’s gonna go the way of Polaroids, of the Walkman, something’s gonna come along and replace it and we’re now at the beginning of the end of the iPhone. And not just the iPhone, the smartphone itself as a category. But these people are hoping and praying for the end of Apple. They’re hoping and praying for the end of the iPhone. And I just don’t see it.
