RUSH: Our old buddy Bill Jacobson at his website, Legal Insurrection, has a great story. “Starbucks’ New Bathroom Policy Not Working out as Hoped.” Oh, by the way, have you seen the new phone service in Venezuela? I am not making this up. It’s 15¢ a month, and it has no service. It’s 15¢ a month in Venezuela but you don’t get phone service. Hello, socialism! I’m not making that up. Anyway… “It has been seven months since the famous purveyor of caffeinated confection, Starbucks, declared their bathrooms ‘open to the public’ without the need to purchase their products.
“Data suggests that the virtue signaling isn’t working out as well as hoped by the corporate leaders. A New York Post team investigated several Manhattan bathrooms and found that there wasn’t an open stall. ‘[A] half-dozen toilets were locked or barricaded for no clear reason. Others were closed for prolonged ‘cleaning,’ which an insider said was needed after extreme soiling caused by drug-using, incontinent vagrants.'”
In other words, Starbucks opened the borders believing that everybody would be clean and pure as the wind-driven snow, and they’re just teaching people that everybody matters and that we can’t discriminate. And they found out that it was the human debris that gravitated to their bathrooms and basically trashed ’em! So they basically closed them by having the stalls closed to make it look like they’re in use.
