RUSH: Here’s Dan in Natick, Massachusetts. Welcome, sir.
CALLER: Mr. Limbaugh, it is an honor to speak with you.
RUSH: Well, thank you.
CALLER: I am —
RUSH: Thank you very much.
CALLER: (garbled cell) I am a high-school educated, blue-collar worker, deplorable from the dregs of society chapter. I just want to say… I’m kind of going off subject here. But when the Trump tax cuts took place and the fake Indian, Warren, said they were “crumbs,” I would like her to know that those crumbs allowed me to get a cell phone for my teenager. Without those crumbs, my teenager wouldn’t have a cell phone right now.
The other thing I want to say is I want to thank you. Twenty-three years ago when I registered to vote, I registered as a Democrat — most of my family was — and I stumbled on the Rush Limbaugh Show on TV, on cable, and I was hooked. Within a week of watching your show, the next day I went down to my town hall, and I changed from Democrat to Republican, and I have you to thank for that.
RUSH: Congratulations, sir. I appreciate that that happened.
CALLER: I can’t thank you enough. You are… You know there —
RUSH: That means it would have all started in the Clinton era.
CALLER: Yes. (chuckling) Exactly, and it’s just the way you exposed them. You know the playbook, and you’re a genius for that. I mean, you know the radical liberal playbook. You have it.
RUSH: Well, I appreciate your saying that. I have studied liberalism my entire life. I’m more honest about what it is and who they are than they are about who they are and what they are. I’m glad you recognized that. Thank you, Dan, very much.
