RUSH: The new secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, is at the State Department today talking to employees there for the first time.

The State Department’s the State Department, but they had a bunch of people that were in the camera angle that were seated behind Pompeo, they looked pretty happy.

They looked pretty happy. They didn’t look this way when Tillerson first showed up. It wasn’t because of Tillerson. It was because Obama was gone.

Wow, look, there’s a guy with a cochlear implant there talking to Pompeo. You see that guy, the redheaded guy with no hair? He’s wearing a cochlear implant. Hot damn.

There he is now leaving camera stage right.
