RUSH: An Amtrak train has derailed south of Seattle near Tacoma. It was traveling 80 miles an hour, derailed on a bridge, and cars in the train are dangling over the bridge. A couple of them fell down onto I-5. There are injuries, and a number of casualties and so forth reported.
It’s the first day of this particular service. I don’t know if it is the first day for the train itself, but it is the first day for this service. It happened right in the heat of the morning rush hour out there, and it’s a devastating circumstance. Watching TV of it now, and, well, it’s just a mess.
