RUSH: On Tuesday, 59 liberal congressbabes demanded Congress look into old allegations against President Trump. The accusations were fought out and settled during the presidential campaign. But the opposition party is raising them again for political gain.
Fortunately, there’s a guidebook on how these allegations should be handled, and that is The Bill Clinton Playbook.
First, and this is important to repeat over and over: None of these allegations affect how he does his job. As long as the president is doing what the American people elected him to do, that’s all that matters.
Second: Whatever happened is in the past and it’s none of our business. It’s a private matter between the president and his wife. If it doesn’t bother her, who are we to judge?
Third: Everybody does it! Besides, who knows if these allegations are even true. To quote a former presidential adviser: “if you drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find.”
Fourth: Everybody lies about sex. In fact, lies are often good. They spare people from hurt feelings.
Fifth: None of these allegations rise to the level of impeachment, because it depends what the meaning of “is” is.
And finally, this is all just a vast, left-wing conspiracy. The American people want us to move on! Get over it! Bring Matt Lauer out of retirement, do an interview, and finish this.
