Spacey immediately apologized for what he said would have been “deeply inappropriate drunken behavior.” And then Spacey set off another firestorm when he used the apology to declare he chooses to live life as a gay man. Oh, it’s a choice now?
Netflix then announced that House of Cards – starring Spacey – will be suspended indefinitely. A spokeswoman says the decision to kill the show was made months ago, but they were still going to go ahead with this season, season six, until yesterday. In a joint statement with the producers Netflix said they were deeply troubled by the report.
