I Wish I’d Had the Guts to Predict This on the Radio!
RUSH: I did not have the guts to predict it. I wish I had the guts because it's now made the news. I told some guys out in LA when I was out there last week, but I did not mention it to any of the local staff here, and now it's happened.
President Trump Promised a Tax Cut for Everyone
RUSH: All during the campaign, President Trump made it clear that he was going to cut taxes across the board for everyone. I have to be honest. There were times where he went out of his way to say that people like him "didn't need a tax cut." And I got nervous when I heard that because when I hear people in government start talking about who "needs" and who doesn't "need" money and a percentage of what they earn, my antennae go up.
McCain Takes Swipe at Trump
RUSH: Have you noticed something here, ladies and gentlemen, that they are trying everything on Trump that failed on Clinton? I mean, there are people who went after Clinton as a draft dodger, as an enemy sympathizer, as making speeches over at Oxford condemning the U.S. But it's not just that. They're going after Trump on womanizing. They're going after Trump on lying. Now they're going after Trump on draft dodging — when, afterward with Clinton, none of it mattered.
The NFL’s Problems Continue
RUSH: I can remember when the sports pages had stats about the score, yards gained, great performances. That stuff is still there. But before you get to that you get stories with pictures on who stood and how many raised their fists, how many linked arms, how many stayed in the tunnel until the anthem was over.
My Theory on the Mueller Investigation
RUSH: One of the aims, one of the objectives of the Mueller investigation is to protect anybody and everybody that had anything to do with this Clinton-Obama-Russian uranium deal. I really think that's one of the things going on.
A “Rich” Guy Defends Himself
CALLER: For someone like me who owns stock options in a small company, the million-dollar tax bracket's very punitive because I may only make a million dollars or more than a million dollars one time in my career. The company I'm with now, I've been with for 15 years, and every day I work hard to help the company grow and make the company more valuable. Someday, we might get acquired. You know, at that point in time I would cash out of my options. I might get a couple million dollars. But that's just gonna happen one time.
The Establishment Still Doesn’t Get Trump — But Laura Ingraham Does
RUSH: Let me sum up the book by Laura Ingraham in one sentence… It is summary and analysis of how, in Laura's opinion, the Republican Party has shafted its voters for decades.
Don’t Miss Out on Our Best Tumbler Yet!
RUSH: I want to remind you that we have this great, great new Tervis tumbler.
What the Congresswoman Could’ve Done
RUSH: If she were acting responsibly — she’s in the car with the widow of a hero military person killed in action — her sensitivity should have been aimed there. But that’s not where she was. She was thinking, “How can I maximize whatever happens on this phone call to help me and to hurt Trump.”
Rush 24/7 Stack of Stuff
RUSH: No longer is this just gonna be a long list of stories that I might mention on the program. Now, you will get specifically the stories that I talk about on the program and a select list of a few others that I intended to get to but ran out of time. It's going to be more of a real-time base feature rather than just a generic list of places that I go to prep the show.
Rush 24/7 Morning Update: Airbrushed!
RUSH: There's an election coming up this year in Virginia and the Democrats went racial. Not in the way you’d expect. And this time it might backfire.
