RUSH: Here is Christine in Black Hills, South Dakota. Hi, Christine. I’m glad you called. It’s nice to have you with us today.
CALLER: Hello, Rush. I owe you an immense apology. I was so mad at you back in 2007, 2008, because I at that time was one of those uneducated voters. I hate John McCain. But I just want to thank you for everything you’ve opened my eyes to, everything that you do, do not stop, do not back down. Continue, keep going. We need you.
RUSH: Why were you mad at me in 2007, 2008? What I was doing then?
CALLER: Well, because I was stupid and I didn’t believe you.
RUSH: You mean you were —
CALLER: About what you were saying about Obama.
RUSH: Oh.
CALLER: I didn’t believe you. I didn’t listen. And I’m trying to apologize to you to tell you that I should have listened.
RUSH: Well —
CALLER: And I learn an awful lot. I think my husband is listening to you right now. And you just made a comment here just a little bit ago about the Middle East is just a phony exercise in, you know, we’re never gonna ever win over there.
RUSH: Well, we’re not gonna win diplomatically.
CALLER: Correct.
RUSH: Doctors and nurses and clean water and words are not gonna — That’s my only point. And yet we’re being misled with this. This may be the first time I’m saying it this way. I’ve thought this about it for the longest time. It’s an exercise in futility that never ends.
