Luis Gutierrez: We Will Eliminate Criminal Trump

by Rush Limbaugh - Jul 25,2017

RUSH: This is Joe in Manhattan. He’s been holding for a while. Joe, hi. Great to have you on the program. How you doing, sir?

CALLER: Good Rush. How are you? Thanks for having me.

RUSH: You bet.

CALLER: Hey, I wanted to talk about Luis Gutierrez. You were talking about sort of the silent coup and —

RUSH: Oh yeah. Hang on. Yeah, keep going. We’ve got a Gutierrez sound bite here. I think I know what you’re talking about. Keep going.

CALLER: Okay. Well, Gutierrez has been the political wing of the FALN. The FALN murdered my dad, as a matter of fact, at Fraunces Tavern in New York in 1975 and Gutierrez has been a long supporter of this Oscar Lopez, who they got out of prison when Obama gave him clemency —

RUSH: That’s the Sinaloa Cartel, right?

CALLER: No, it’s not. It’s the Puerto Rican armed forces for national —

RUSH: Oh, gotcha. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

CALLER: Yeah. And so this guy who has been a supporter of terrorists saying that Oscar Lopez is his leader and he wants to march down through Chicago with him, comes out today and calls Trump a criminal and says he’s gonna find ways to eliminate Trump from office. So in this twisted world that we have, we have someone like Gutierrez, who calls our president a criminal while he marches hand in hand with a convicted terrorist, an unrepentant terrorist who inflicted murder on this country.

RUSH: Well, the convicted terrorist is a freedom fighter. He was fighting the oppression of racism and bigotry that’s rampant in this country. That’s the way the left sees it.

CALLER: Well, yeah, except that he was trying to create another socialist state in Puerto Rico and enslave the Puerto Rican people into another Cuba. So that’s the reality of it . And that’s what you would have Gutierrez and the rest of these — they’re really lunatics, Rush. I mean, anyone who would follow this guy or listen to him, understand that he is supporting murderers. I mean, my father was 33 years old, went to work one day, was having lunch with clients, and the FALN walked a bomb in, blew it up, and, you know, that was part of their attack. Killing my dad was somehow to liberate Puerto Rico.

You know, I went to this guy’s parole hearing at Terre Haute at the prison in 2011 and confronted him, and he wasn’t contrite. As a matter of fact, he said if they were looking for contrition, the people who went there, me and my brother and some other families, family members, they were talking to the wrong guy. So this is a guy who Gutierrez supports. This is a guy Obama gave clemency to after he turned down the Clinton clemency if you remember in 1999.

RUSH: I had forgotten that.

CALLER: Yeah. So, I mean, it’s crazy, Rush, and we have to fight this stuff constantly. And these people are at high levels of our government. Luis Gutierrez has been a congressman for a long time, has millions of people in Chicago that support him, yet he supports people who would take down our county and murder our people.

RUSH: We have a little history here ourselves with Luis Gutierrez back when he was relatively new in Congress. He’s from Chicago, Illinois. When he was new, he went on 60 Minutes and, in his interview, he confirmed something I had been telling my audience for a long time, and that is that newly arrived members of Congress are brought into the leadership and they’re told the way of the world. And what they’re basically told is, “Look, you like it here? You want to the back? You want to be reelected?”

And of course the eager beaver freshman says, “Yes, of course I do.” “Okay, here’s what you’re gonna do. You’re gonna vote the way we tell you. You’re gonna follow the vote of your whip and leadership. And if you do, we will see to it that you have no problem raising reelection money, and we’ll do what we can to make sure you’re not primaried. If you’ll stay loyal to us –” well, that’s not big news. At the time it was news because people had an impression of Congress, it was more civics 101 and that kind of thing. And, by the way, the Republicans have their own similar system.

What Gutierrez did, after he did that, we slated a Limbaugh Letter interview with Gutierrez in order to cement something that I’d been telling the audience was the case, here comes a guy confirm it. Well, after that interview, the leadership called Luis Gutierrez back in and said, “Luis, do you like staying here? You want to stay?” “Yes, I told you.” Well, you can’t do it by going on 60 Minutes and betraying the leadership this way.”

So he canceled his interview with The Limbaugh Letter and we had to scramble, find some global warming nut, which was not a problem. But that’s our history of Gutierrez. And since then every year he’s gotten more and more radical. And this is 10 years now or longer, many more. He’s been following the Democrat leadership to the point now he’s become one of the broad-based — there’s a lot of leaders. He’s not in the upper tier, but he’s there.

And he’s done a complete 180 of where he was when he was first elected. He’s like everybody else, “I’m here to represent the people. I’m here to do the business of the people.” And he quickly found out that’s not why he’s there. He’s there to advance the leadership’s agenda. So here’s the sound bite that our caller is referring to. This was last Saturday in Chicago at Lincoln United Methodist Church during an emergency defend DACA community meeting, Luis Gutierrez speaking about immigration policy.

GUTIERREZ: The major criminal that exists in the United States of America is called Donald Trump. He lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue at the White House. And we’re gonna take actions today, and we’re gonna take actions tomorrow, and there will soon be a majority in the House of Representatives, and I’m going to make sure that I’m there to make sure of one thing: That we write those articles of impeachment and take ’em to trial before the Senate and eliminate him as president of the United States of America.

RUSH: Eliminate him as president of the United States of America, Luis Gutierrez, who, the caller was correct, is actively seeking the support of known terrorists committing acts of terror against the United States.
