On Friday, President Trump signs an executive order, effectively halting the flood of Syrian refugees into America. Indefinitely. It also suspended, temporarily, immigration from six other countries where ISIS is running amok: Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, and Yemen. The suspension is in effect while the administration reviews the immigration “vetting” process.
RUSH: Okay, we got some polling data in on the Trump executive order. Rasmussen: 33% — only 33% — oppose the ban. Only 33%. Now, you compare that with the way the media has portrayed these protesters and the movement and the supposed national outrage to this.
RUSH: It took Bret three years to research and write this book, what with everything else that he has on his plate, and it's a serious, scholarly effort. It is really well done.
RUSH: Here's a guy who thrives on Twitter telling everybody it's not the real world. And it's important because people who tweet all the time really think they're making a difference.
RUSH: The left is never going to fully gain the momentum. They're never going to totally gain the narrative because Trump has the ability to reclaim it any time he wants.
RUSH: This stuff frosts me. This just infuriates me. And what further infuriates me is that so many of these people are afraid of conservatives. They're afraid to be tied to conservatives. They're afraid to associate with conservatives because this is what happens to you in the media if a conservative is your friend.
RUSH: Remember in the early stages of this program, long before even Fox News came up, the left started worrying that maybe there was too much democracy, maybe there was too much opinion from the American people, there was too much involvement from the American people. The left always does this when they're losing.
RUSH: This is the official policy of Trump opposition to simply resist everything because that's all they can do. They can't stop it unless the Republicans cave and join them. If the Republicans stay unified, House and Senate, and in support of the Trump agenda then there's nothing the Democrats can do.
RUSH: If you think all of this outrage and all of these protests are spontaneous and specific to the elements of this executive order, you need to stop thinking that, because that is not what any of this is about. What all of this is about is the preordained, prearranged Democrat Party strategy of unseating Donald Trump and opposing him. It's nothing more than total resistance to everything.
RUSH: We’re nearing that time where Barry O will be unable to avoid the appeal of the cameras. We’re getting very, very near the point where that prediction that I made is going to happen.
No longer is this just gonna be a long list of stories that I might mention on the program. Now, you will get specifically the stories that I talk about on the program and a select list of a few others that I intended to get to but ran out of time. It's going to be more of a real-time base feature rather than just a generic list of places that I go to prep the show.
