In a recent interview with New York Magazine, CNN president Jeff Zucker accused President Trump of trying to “delegitimize journalism.”
Zucker defended CNN’s putting out the fake news story from the fake intelligence “dossier” on Trump. Zucker claimed CNN didn’t “pass judgement on the allegations,” which he said could not be corroborated. But they ran with the story, anyway, when every other news outlet refused.
“It’s just unfortunate that the most powerful person in the world is trying to delegitimize journalism and an organization that plays such a vital role in our democracy,” Zucker said. He said that Trump’s “willingness and inclination to cherry-pick facts, conflate and inflate things, will make covering this administration very challenging.” This means CNN’s role will more important than ever, Zucker said, and Trump should respect the network for holding his feet to the fire.
Mr. Zucker, you aren’t “journalists,” anymore! You’re the Democrat Party’s PR division disguised as a news organization. You want to talk about cherry-picking facts, conflating and inflating things? (chuckles) You’ve just described CNN!
Viewers have seen your constant one-sided coverage. They’ve seen “reporters” try to throw debates to Obama and Clinton. They also see the news you don’t cover, news not helpful to Democrats elsewhere. Which is why they’ve left your network in droves.
Uh, Mr. Zucker? Trump doesn’t have to “delegitimize journalism.” You in the Drive-By media have done that yourselves! Look in the mirror.
