Three years ago, so-called “climate scientists” set off on a research vessel to prove that global warming was melting the Arctic sea ice. The research vessel, as they always do in these things, got stuck. In the sea ice. A rescue operation had to be mounted to save the 52-member crew  from freezing to death.

“Climate scientists” refuse to learn from their mistakes. If at first they don’t succeed, they double down.

This year, a group of climate scientists set out with sailors and pilots on a two-month mission from near the North Pole through the Arctic. The objective, according to their website, is to prove the “Arctic sea ice coverage shrinks back so far now in the summer months” that they can navigate through seas that were once permanently locked up by ice.

The brave, courageous climate scientists who believe computer models are infallible and global warming is settled science, have run into a problem.

Ice.

They are stuck in Russian territory because there’s too much ice blocking the North East passage. The ice they encountered came as a total shock. It’s not supposed to be there! Global warming was supposed to have melted it, the computer said so! 

I guess we’ll have to wait a while to see if an emergency rescue operation s needed, to keep them from freezing to death. And I’ll bet we’ll have to wait even longer for them to say those three magic words that every husband knows: “We were wrong.”
