CALLER:  I am completely speechless right now.  Longtime listener of yours for over 10 years.  My father, a former Marine and Chicago police officer of 46 years, turned me on to you.  We were members of Operation Chaos.  And the reason that I’m calling is because my daughter — she’s 12 years old — I recently got custody of my daughter after ten years of struggling, and she’s in a school system that doesn’t teach actual American history.

RUSH:  Very few do anymore.

CALLER:  Correct.  And my wife, God bless her, love her very much, she had ordered — my second marriage now — my wife is an incredible stepmother, but neither here nor there, she had ordered the Rush Revere set and we just finished the Pilgrim and we’re looking forward to the Patriot. And she got into it with a younger student, my daughter did, about American history. “If Trump gets elected my dad will be kicked out of the country.” And my daughter had said, and she’s 12, she said, “Well, if your dad didn’t break the law, this might not happen.  I think you guys should really read these books that my family and I are reading.” And that caused a little bit of a stir.
