RUSH: This whole thing with redacting the 9/11 calling from the Islamic terrorist? You want to get…? (interruption) Let me just give you a preview of what’s coming on that score. Grab audio sound bite number 23, 24. I mean, this will set everything up that’s coming, including that I got a fascinating email filled with questions about things I said last week about who the left really considers to be their number one enemy.
Us.
The religion of peace needs protection, is the bottom line. The religion of peace needs to be protected because there’s so much mean-spirited extremism aimed against them — so much bias, so much prejudice, so much hate extended toward the religion of peace — they need to be protected. No one can draw pictures of the Prophet Mohammed. Obama cannot publish the words of a believer who is trying to follow the rules guaranteeing safe passage to 73 raisins. (interruption) Well, yeah, it’s not virgins; we got a new interpretation a couple weeks ago.
It’s raisins; it’s not virgins. Anybody…? How did they confuse that? I mean, what do raisins have to do with virgins? How in the world was that confusion? Where did that start? Anyway, so we can’t draw — nobody can draw — pictures of the Prophet Mohammed. Obama cannot describe militant Islam for what it is. Obama cannot publish the actual words stated and used by a believer while committing an act of terror who was trying to follow the rules guaranteeing safe passage to the 73 raisins.
Now, not to nitpick here, but how does jihad fit in with the religion of peace? I mean, if we now have to go to these great lengths to protect them. And just to show you where we are, Ronald Hopper today — this is in Orlando mere moments ago — was speaking about the investigation, which he said could take years, by the way. Did you hear that? The investigation of this incident could take weeks, it could take months, it could take years. Here’s the first of three sound bites…
No, no, no, no, no! The extremist views have nothing to do with Islam whatsoever, this special agent at the FBI is telling us. Even though the guy pledged supported for ISIS, “We currently have no evidence that he was directed by a foreign terrorist group but was radicalized domestically.” What’s the difference? I mean, when you get right down to it, what’s the difference? Here’s the next bite…
HOPPER: Further redacting is meant to not give credence to individuals who have done terrorist acts in the past. We’re not going to propagate their rhetoric — their violent rhetoric — and we see no value in putting those individuals’ names back out there. For cowards like this one, people like that influence them; so we’re not going to continue to put their names out front.
RUSH: So we’ve redacted everything the guy said about the reasons he did it. We’re just gonna redact it, because this is almost verbatim what Loretta Lynch was saying all over TV yesterday. So the orders have gone out from on high how this is gonna be portrayed. I think what you need to remember are the audio sound bites we had last week from James Kallstrom who was the former head of the New York office of the FBI, and he explained in his own words the practical application today of Countering Violent Extremism, as we detailed it for you last week.
Kallstrom made it clear. (summarized) “Our hands are tied. We cannot presume. We cannot accept what we learn.” The only way that the FBI can utilize any intel as if it happens to come from inside the community delivered by somebody there, like a rogue informant or somebody in a neighbor or in a mosque who hears it and calls the FBI. Then they can deal with it, but they can’t go in there and find out on their own. They cannot look at social media. And this is the manifestation of it. Here comes this FBI agent:
This guy was not who he says he was, and so we’re not gonna publish the words he used because we’re not gonna allow this guy to tar and feather an innocent religion. We are not gonna allow this guy to do it! So we’re not gonna allow this guy to continue to propagandize. These guys redact a lot. They redact the Benghazi hearings report, a number of the phone calls that went on that night. To me, this is insane. There’s no other way to describe it. This is insane, folks. It’s literally insane.
It is one of the countless number of things that just fly in the face of standard, ordinary, everyday common sense. And it’s things like this that make people start asking questions. “What in the world is going on? Why in the world is it going on?” You start asking these questions, start getting very close to it, and then you have to back off for fear of what might descend upon you. But it doesn’t make any sense. I mean, the answers to the questions that everybody asks: Why this desperate desire to protect obvious intent on the part of the obvious associated?
Why protect it?
Why try to go to the effort to make everyone not see what is plain as day? Why? You start asking that question, and the answers get very dangerous very quickly. (interruption) Well, they do. That’s why I myself am even backing off. I had a guy tell me he wrote a column trying to answer that question based on my frustration with trying to get right up to it and backing off for fear that literally there may not be any future in going there. (interruption) No. (interruption) Well, no. I don’t think it’s that. (interruption)
He was “radicalized.” He’s not really one of them, see? He’s not really one of ’em. He’s just Looney Tunes. He got radicalized. Radicalized by who? What radicalized them? Other extremists that have nothing to do with Islam? What radicalized the guy? (interruption) I know. You take the Allah references out, because, as I just said, this administration is doing everything it can to protect religion of peace. This guy’s words of motive, everybody… Why? When something like this happens, why? Why did it happen? Why did the alligator snatch that child?
Speaking of that, I actually saw a story. I’m not kidding. Over the weekend, I actually saw a serious story somewhere. I was driving. I was not in the position to print it out. I actually saw a story, “What was the alligator thinking when it snatched the two year old?” (interruption) I’m not kidding. “What was the alligator thinking?” Serious, serious story. I didn’t have time to read it. That’s the frustrating thing. I just saw the headline. It was time to get out of the car.
I had reached my destination and it was time to get out of the car, and I forgot all about it ’til just now. But we’re going out of our way to protect the religion of peace. The guy uses the word “Allah.” The guy uses everything that we’re accustomed to hearing. “No, no, no! We’re gonna redact that ’cause we’re not gonna allow this guy the opportunity for his propaganda.” Now, turn this on any other group: The Tea Party, talk radio, you name it. They will do anything, including lie, to try to link innocent people to the commission of certain acts of terrorism.
But with this group, it’s the opposite. Do everything you can to delink it. Which raises all of these the questions. And then Loretta Lynch was all over TV yesterday explaining this. And the Drive-By interviewers listening to it just accept it. “Oh, yeah. Makes sense. We must not engage in saying that.” And then… (interruption) I know Trump’s fired Lewandowski. We’re gonna get to all that here in just a second. I can’t do it all the opening monologue. Now, it’s becoming necessary to say that. But we got it. It’s coming up.
But the official attack on Trump over the weekend — and it’s related to this, now. The official attack on Trump over the weekend was the focus on Trump saying he thinks Muslims should be profiled. You see how this stuff works? They come out… You have an actual act of Islamic terror stated, responsibility taken, phone calls made during the effort just as the rules of jihad state. When you’re in the act of committing jihad, and you are making the sacrifice for the 73 raisins, the rules are you have to call it in; you have to proclaim it.
He did everything was taught to do. He’s the guy we are trying to protect. He’s the guy we’re trying to redefine. We’re going after Trump for profiling! In the meantime, we gotta go out and kill Trump for profiling, kill his campaign, which is another point here. The polling data on Trump is not as bad as it has been reported. But let me get to that in due course. The official attack on Trump over the weekend was to focus on Trump saying that he thinks Muslims should be profiled. But notice, he didn’t bring it up. It was a reporter.
Profiling is good enough for Mayor Bloomberg and the NYPD and even Obama’s CIA. They’ve all worked together to profile Muslims in New York City until later in 2011. Guess it depends on the target. Hasn’t Trump even been profiled as a radical extremist by the Drive-By Media, endlessly? How about Obama? Do you think Obama doesn’t profile? What was Obama doing when he’s complaining about bitter clingers at a private fundraiser 2008 San Francisco? Wasn’t he profiling? Wasn’t he engaging in prejudice, maybe even a little bigotry?
Yeah, it’s they’re just a bunch of bitter clingers! Mmeaning a bunch of know-nothings, ill-educated boobs. When things started changing for the better and they don’t like it and they don’t understand it, they cling to their guns, their religion, and beer at the VFW hall. (Isn’t that profiling?) And now Hillary Clinton’s doing the same thing. I guess profiling is only wrong when it might save lives and help protect us from a terror attack; then we’re not allowed to profile. Oh, and we’re not allowed to profile anybody that might be an illegal immigrant.
How do people get on the no-fly list, by the way? How did people get placed on the terrorist watch list if we don’t profile? But that’s okay, that’s okay, as long as those lists are used to keep law-abiding citizens from being able to protect themselves. But if Omar Siddiqui Mateen succeeds in helping the government take away guns from Americans who want to defend themselves, then haven’t the terrorists won, and isn’t that perhaps one of the objectives here?

RUSH: Okay. So you just heard the sound bites from the FBI special agent, assistant agent in charge, Ron Hopper, saying that we redacted because the shooter does not represent Islam and we’re not gonna go there, not gonna allow him to propagandize things. I want to remind you what Kallstrom said last Thursday night on Fox News Channel. Megyn Kelly said, “Why is the FBI not getting these guys even though they’re on the radar?”
RUSH: What about Comey? He was director.
KALLSTROM: Yes. But Comey can’t talk about it either. I’d like to think if I was the director, I would talk about it. Comey needs people.
RUSH: Okay, that’s enough. Compare that to what we heard from Ron Hopper who said the killer identified himself as an Islamic soldier. He does not represent the religion of Islam. But, look, the orders have gone down from this Regime, and if you stop and think a, why would Obama and Lynch allow Mateen to do the propaganda

RUSH: There are four gun control measures in the Senate today that are gonna be voted on, all because of this attack in Orlando that had nothing to do with… See, if it had nothing to do with Islam, and it had nothing to do with Muslims, then it had to do with what? The easy availability of guns! You see the magic here? Yes my friends the guns are so easy, the gun show loophole. Do you know there isn’t a gun show loophole? What do you think the gun show loophole is? You think people can go buy guns at a gun show and not have to get a background check, right?
That’s what everybody think’s the gun show loophole. That’s BS. You know this guy…? Who was it? (interruption) No, CBS. It’s our Morning Update for tomorrow. CBS tried to show how easy it is to get an AR-15, which was not what this guy even used. This guy use a Sig Sauer, or Sig Sauer. I’m not sure how you pronounce it. So they sent this woman into a gun shop to buy an AR-15 and they thought they’d be able to walk in there, hand over the money, and walk out and start shooting people.
It took 38 minutes and they found out that unless she did a couple specific things, she wouldn’t get the gun, that it would be turned over to a federal agency to further review. The whole thing blew up in their faces. But the gun show loophole? “Well, you can go to a gun show and some black market dealer will sell you whatever you want! You don’t have to pass a background check.” It’s BS. Ah, it doesn’t matter. Increasingly, the facts and truth, none of that matters.

RUSH: Let me start on the phones here. People have been really loyally hanging on here. Joni in Loma Linda, California. Hey, Joni, how are you?
CALLER: I’m fine, Rush. Thank you for taking my call.
RUSH: You bet.
CALLER: This is gonna be back on the subject of the first two hours.
RUSH: Sure.
CALLER: But my main concern with this stuff that they always get away with on Republicans and conservatives, where they twist our motives and change our words. When they do that with these Islamic — probably they believe sincere believers — they redact their words, they take them out of their mouths, then they give all the credit and glory to the Republicans, that they have done this. So I’m concerned that this is going to incite more true believers, whatever you want to call them, to try to get the subject back on the reason they really do this, which is the glory of ISIS and Allah.
RUSH: The glory of jihad.
CALLER: Right!
RUSH: You know what, Joni? You may have a point. Here’s what she’s saying. She’s saying that the fact that these guys go out and they commit their acts loyal to their religion, Obama comes along, “No, no, no, no. They’re not that! They’re not, ’cause that doesn’t exist in Islam.” Instead they blame the Republicans for gun control and the lack of gun, or whatever. Joni’s theory is that these people gonna get mad, that they’re doing this for the glory of Mohammed and Allah, and it’s being denied — and they’re just gonna ratchet up even more attacks, is her fear. Because getting credit for it is a big part of why you do that, and Obama’s denying it to them. She may have a point. We’ll have to see.

RUSH: Here is Barry, Fort Myers, Florida. It’s great to have you on the program, Barry. How are you?
CALLER: Great. Hey, greetings from southwest Florida, Rush.
RUSH: Great to have you with us, sir. Thank you.
CALLER: Thank you. Hey, I think it’s really interesting that the authorities are apparently just not very good at determining motives concerning the Orlando shooter, even in a case where the shooter has called ’em up and is telling exactly what his motive is. And now they’re telling us it may take years to figure it out.
RUSH: Yeah. The guy said the investigation could take years, and the killer announced what his motivation was.
CALLER: Contrast last year in South Carolina, Rush, when a young man waving (sic) a Confederate flag did nearly the same thing, and they were willing to almost immediately assign the motive.
CALLER: I just —
RUSH: Yeah.
CALLER: I just thought it was quite a contrast that, you know, in one case when it plays to their agenda, they’ll immediately blame the Confederate flag. But in this other case it won’t blame because it doesn’t play into their agenda.
RUSH: Let me tell you why that is. Because there’s two things at play here. And he is talking about Dylann Roof. Dylann Roof joined a church study group, an African-American church and went in there and killed nine or 10 people, whatever it was, while they were studying the Bible. And he was waiting. In his home he had a Confederate flag, and he had all Confederate flag decales. And they didn’t wait. They immediately chalked it up to, “The guy probably voted for Republicans! He’s probably conservative, pro-life,” all the things.
He was lunatic, and they didn’t bother to find out what was really bothering him. They just concluded on the spot who did it and why, no questions asked. Because that fit their narrative that’s already been established for hayseed, Southern, hick conservative. Republicans, whatever. I mean know this guy was one! He probably was a Democrat, if you get right down to it. But here comes Mateen. Now, Obama’s narrative is, “Islam is a religion of peace. There is no terrorism in Islam.
“These people claiming they’re Islamists, they’re not; they’re pretenders. They’re frauds. There is no terrorism in the religion of peace! There’s no terrorism in Islam.” Here comes a guy that’s killing gave his in a nightclub, calls it in, and said he’s doing it in honor of ISIS, “Allahu Akbar!” all that stuff. “No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! There is no terrorism. It may take years to find out why this guy was as sick as he was.” They’re not gonna let this guy establish the narrative. Obama is in charge of propaganda, not Mateen, and they’re not gonna let Mateen ruin their message. It’s really no more complicated than that.
