RUSH: John Kerry said, “There’s something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that. There was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of — well, not a legitimacy, but a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say, okay, they’re really angry because of this and that. But this Friday incident was absolutely indiscriminate.”
John Kerry actually said of the Charlie Hebdo incident, “Well, there was a legitimacy to that. The Islamists were mad that Charlie Hebdo had made fun of ’em by running pictures and cartoons and stuff. Well, you can see maybe not a legitimacy, but there’s a rationale to that.” So John Kerry sees a rationale, a legitimacy to an act of terror, one he can understand, ’cause he is superior European developed intellect and speaks French.
Now, the vote to confirm John Kerry as secretary of state was 94-3. There were three Republicans who voted against John Kerry. I would ask you to take a guess, but I don’t have the time. They were Senator Jim Inhofe, Republican, Oklahoma, Senator John Cornyn, Republican, Texas, and dadelut dadelut dadelut dadelut dadelut — Senator Ted Cruz, Republican, Texas. So our secretary of state (imitating Kerry), “Well, you see, there’s a rationale, legitimacy — well, maybe not a legitimacy, but a rationale, what happened at Charlie Hebdo, but this thing Friday, that’s totally indiscriminate. We can’t tolerate that.”
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Back to the audio sound bites. We’re gonna pick up here with… Well, I’ll let you hear John Kerry and his equivocation on the terrorist attack on Charlie Hebdo. But yesterday’s program, most of the first hour was devoted to the concept — my concept, my attempt — to explain and illustrate to you how the American left, the worldwide left, the Democrat Party are trying to say that all of this is the fault of the United States.
That there are legitimate reasons they hate us, and we have to understand why they’re attacking us, and we had better change our ways, and that’s part and parcel of why we should accept (without question) all these refuges. I obviously can’t repeat the whole first hour of yesterday’s program, but a few reminders: We were told our immigration policy is angering people all over the world, and Republicans, and our support for Israel, and various other things. “We have to understand: We’re the reason mad. They have legitimate reason for hating us, ISIS does!”
So keep that in mind, because that’s a giant See I Told You So for sound bites coming up. First, John Kerry yesterday in Paris, outside the US Embassy, speaking to staff and family at the embassy about the terrorist attacks last Friday…
KERRY: There’s something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that there was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of, uh, uhhh… Not a legitimacy but a — a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say, “Okay, they’re really angry because of this or that.” This Friday was absolutely indiscriminate. It wasn’t to aggrieve one particular sense of wrong. It was to terrorize people. It was to attack everything that we do stand for.
RUSH: Duh! What in the world does this man think day to day of all this? I mean, here’s an attempt… He knew he misspoke when he said “rationale.” The terror attacks, the ISIS, the Islamic attacks on Charlie Hebdo… Here’s a guy, “You know what? We can understand that!” Remember, it’s our fault, folks. Don’t forget, they’re doing what they’re doing ’cause it’s our fault, and we drew cartoons that made fun of their prophet and we mustn’t do that! We must understand that if we do, they have a rationale for reaching out and attacking us.
John Kerry’s telling embassy staff in France, Paris, “You’d better understand it. There was a rationale for that, but this thing that happened Friday? Why, it was just random. That wasn’t tied to anything.” This illustrates perfectly a total disconnect on the part of John Kerry from Islamic terrorism. He doesn’t understand it. He hasn’t the slightest idea about it. Each attack is to be measured, and in one, well, we can find rationale. We can find legitimacy. But that thing Friday night at the music concert? It’s just horrible.
It’s all horrible, Senator Kerry, and it’s all about the same thing.
If you’re gonna try to rationalize or legitimize Charlie Hebdo, then you better be prepared to legitimize what happened Friday night, ’cause it’s the same reasons.
We’re infidels, Senator Kerry.
We are infidels.
They read one book; they read it all the time. It’s all they care about.
They want to go back to the seventh century. They are medieval in their desires and anybody who doesn’t agree with them is an infidel who has to be converted or killed, and that’s it. It doesn’t matter each individual instance whether there was a provocation or not because there always is a provocation. We are infidels. It’s really getting to the point now of personal offense to listen to these people try to tell us we better understand why we are responsible for this, because if they’re serious about that we’ve got one hope and that’s to convert.
I don’t know about you, I am fed up. An American citizen, having to sit here and listen to my president, Democrat Party, come up with various ways of blaming me and other Americans and telling me we have to understand because of what we’ve done, why they’re doing what they’re doing. And, by the way, for those of you haven’t heard this, they also blame us. When they hear us, like Bernie Sanders or any of the Democrats run around and claim that we are responsible for climate change, they pick that right up and they start attacking us for that and justifying what they are doing because we’re destroying the great planet. We are committing fraud and damage and climate change and all this. They pick up the same refrains.
