RUSH: We’re gonna start in Panama City, Florida, right up the road here. Patrick, great to have you on the program, sir, and hello.
CALLER: Thank you, sir. How are you?
RUSH: I’m okay. Doing pretty good.
CALLER: Great. You know, when this story broke of 106,000 people being enrolled, that’s bogus, Rush. The story broke on Fox News, and it was on my phone app and the word they used was not enrolled, it was “picked a plan.” So 106,000 picked a plan. And it went on to say that the reason they used the word “picked” is because many had not paid for it yet.
RUSH: That’s right.
CALLER: So technically they’re not enrolled.
RUSH: That’s true.
CALLER: So everyone saying, “Oh, 106,000 people.” It’s not.
RUSH: No, it’s not.
CALLER: We don’t know the numbers.
RUSH: No, we don’t know the numbers. It’s not even half that, though. We’re pretty safe —
RUSH: — in assuming it’s not even probably half of that.
CALLER: I’m with you on that. Absolutely.
RUSH: Well, what is your point about it?
CALLER: Well, it’s a disgrace, Rush. And we let this man, the president, get away with it. It seems everything that he does in using his magic wand is against the Constitution and legislation and everything, and we give him a pass, it seems.
RUSH: I know. In a way I’m conflicted, because you say — and I know what you mean — that he’s getting away with it. And, yeah, where we are certainly means he’s gotten away with it. I have to catch myself sometimes and grab myself before I get too far gone. The magic is gone from Obama now. He does not have the ability any longer to get away with things that he did, certainly in his first term. Now, he’s not changing the way he’s going about anything, and Obama doesn’t think he’s in any trouble, but there aren’t nearly as many people being bamboozled, fooled, madly in love with Obama.
You know, folks, I read the tech blogs. And there has been a massive falling out with Obama and the high-tech community in Silicon Valley. It’s not about any of this. It’s not about health care. It’s not about their taxes. They’re ticked off that their privacy has been corrupted by the NSA. They think Snowden is a hero. They’re just livid at Obama. They’re writing about it. They can’t believe that Obama would do this. They can believe Bush would do it. They can believe Nixon would, but they cannot believe that Obama is collecting their private data and bragging about it. Just little things.
