RUSH: Ann Marie in Gilbert, Arizona. It’s great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.
CALLER: Thanks, Rush. It’s a pleasure to talk to you today.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: How are you?
RUSH: Thanks very well. Thanks very much.
CALLER: Hey, I just wanted to call and say thanks for what you’re doing. You’ve made a huge difference in my life and in my girls’ lives. My youngest wants to be president one day, so thank you. I grew up in a Democrat household, very Democrat. Half of our family was black; half our family was white. I grew up hating Ronald Reagan, thinking he was gonna start World War III. I went to school and was taught in college that, you know, the Founding Fathers were elitists. And then the wall came down, and it totally changed! Like it rocked my world because I thought, “Wait a second. If all this is true, how is this happening?” So then I found you on the radio and have been listening to you, and it’s just great.
RUSH: Well, that’s music to my ears. We are here to make a difference.
CALLER: And you have. Our youngest was watching the Palin interview the other day, and she was watching it, and the minute Matt Lauer started asking questions, she looked at me and she goes, “He’s a liberal, isn’t he?”
RUSH: By the way, speaking of that — Ann Marie, you will like know this, and so will the rest of you people — Sarah Palin’s one-day appearance secured NBC defeating Good Morning America hosted by Katie Couric the whole week. Sarah Palin’s ratings on that one day! I’ve got it right here in the Stack of Stuff. It’s in the Washington Post: “With Palin, NBC’s The Today Show widens gap over ABC’s GMA, despite challenge from Couric.” And also, 30 Rock, Tina Fey’s show, has hit a new series low. It had a 1.6 rating last episode that aired. That’s Tina Fey, who was, one year, one of Barbara Walters’ Ten Most Fascinating People for impersonating Sarah Palin.
