No doubt with his falling poll numbers in mind – Pharaoh Obama took to the airwaves over the weekend to offer words of hope. And change.
He announced an effort by community colleges and the National Association of Manufacturers to steer half a million students into a job training program. Upon completion, students would get a credential to verify they’re certified to work in the manufacturing sector.
Pharaoh proclaimed: “If you’re a company that’s hiring, you’ll know that anyone who has this degree has the skills you’re looking for.” And “if you’re a student considering community college, you’ll know that your diploma will give you a leg up in the job market.”
If you’re graduating from college now, however, you might as well put your leg down. According to the latest data, 5,000 manufacturing jobs were lost last month.
If you’re among the millions of people still looking for work, put your legs down, too. Pharaoh said, “It’s going to take time” to get out of the recession; it didn’t happen overnight – and it won’t end overnight.
Sound advice. So … when the bank calls about that overdue mortgage payment – or when any of the other bill collectors call – relay the order from on high, from the Supreme Authority in government. Tell them all … that Pharaoh Obama says: “It’s going to take time” – so they must be patient.
And then – let me know how that works out for ya!
