RUSH: Atlanta, Andrew, glad you waited. You’re next, EIB Network. Hello.
CALLER: Yes, sir. Good afternoon, Mr. Rush. Longtime listener, man, how you doing?
RUSH: Very well, sir. Thanks very much for the call.
RUSH: Oh, I think they know that, and I think more and more people are starting to realize it as you are. I want to make sure I understand what happened to you. Your company dropped you, you say?
CALLER: No, the insurance company dropped my company.
RUSH: Oh.
CALLER: They said that they can no longer afford the high level PPO. And on top of this, Rush, my father is a doctor in Albany, Georgia. He’s an optometrist, and his office has had the same health insurance plan for years, and even his health insurance plan at a doctor’s office said they can no longer afford to be in health care insurance, and both instances stated —
RUSH: Have you ever — try something.
CALLER: Go ahead.
RUSH: Just try something. And I’m not trying to be a wise guy. See if you could go out and just somewhere, join a pool for catastrophic health insurance only, and pay for everything else yourself. See what you can find.
CALLER: Actually it’s funny you said that. I dropped — (unintelligible) there’s no way we can afford that, and so for my wife and son, I pay for the health care insurance, but out of pocket for Blue Cross/Blue Shield here in Georgia. Because my company’s insurance plan up in New Jersey, which was where my company’s headquartered out of in the states.
RUSH: I wish I had more time with you but I don’t. This is make or break time, I’ve gotta go. But I’m sure this is gonna come up again. Thanks for the call.
