RUSH: Bill in Bailey, Michigan, hello and welcome to the EIB Network. Great to have you here.
CALLER: Hi, Rush.
RUSH: Hi.
CALLER: What I’m interested in is, first of all, I’m interested in this country, and what I think is Israel runs this country and along with you, and also what I think is —
CALLER: Yes.
RUSH: Okay.
CALLER: Exactly. Yeah.
RUSH: All right.
CALLER: First of all, Bush went into Iraq and, you know, took that country over and upset a balance between Saddam Hussein and Iran.
RUSH: Right.
CALLER: And that’s why we’re having problems with Iran now.
RUSH: Hmm. Okay.
CALLER: Okay?
RUSH: So Bush goes into Iraq, gets rid of Hussein, and that’s why we got problems in Iran?
CALLER: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you say Hussein should have been there and all this —
RUSH: No, I didn’t say that. I’m not yet disputing. I’m still trying to comprehend, I’m trying to understand and make sure that I’m hearing what you’re saying.
CALLER: Yeah, what I’m saying is that you’re altruistic saying Saddam Hussein shouldn’t have been, you know, oppressing that country, but I’m thinking this country, my country, the country I went into service for, I fought for, okay? Do you understand that?
RUSH: Why did Israel tell Bush to invade Iraq?
CALLER: Israel didn’t tell Bush to invade Iraq.
RUSH: What am I missing?
CALLER: Well, you’re missing that we invaded Iraq because Israel didn’t want to invade it, okay?
RUSH: So Israel had to ask us. If they didn’t want to go and invade Iraq, they had to ask us to do it, and Bush did —
CALLER: Well, no, we spend more money for Israel than any country in the world, plus technology, okay?
RUSH: You just said that Israel runs this country, so under that rubric or umbrella if we invade Iraq Israel is responsible.
CALLER: No, I said Israel runs you.
RUSH: Ohhh, oh!
CALLER: Not this country. You.
RUSH: I run the country and Israel runs me?
CALLER: No, you don’t run the country, Israel runs you.
RUSH: Oh, okay.
CALLER: Okay? And second of all, if we would not have done that, we would not have the problems we have with Iran now, okay?
RUSH: Okay, I’m listening. If we hadn’t invaded Iraq and got rid of Saddam we would have no problems with Iran?
CALLER: Well, exactly, yes. We wouldn’t have the problem we’re having now.
CALLER: Iran is actually, you know, they’re Shi’ites, they’re Shi’ites and —
RUSH: Yeah, but what’s our problem with them?
CALLER: The problem is they’re gonna make bombs, I guess, as far as I know, nuclear bombs, right?
RUSH: Right. And they’re only doing this because we got rid of Saddam in Iraq?
CALLER: Exactly. Yes.
RUSH: Yeah. Okay. I just want to make sure we’re all following.
CALLER: Right, because Saddam Hussein was a balancing factor between Iran and Iraq. Do you understand that?
RUSH: So Joe Wilson was right?
CALLER: What?
RUSH: Joe Wilson was right.
CALLER: Joe Wilson has nothing to do — this is me. You know, I’m 70 years old, I know what’s happening. Rumsfeld and Cheney were hobknocking with Saddam Hussein because of the oil. The oil was supposed to pay for this war, according to — (crosstalk)
RUSH: No, they were not hobnobbing, wait a second.
CALLER: — and Rumsfeld.
RUSH: We did have an allied relationship with Iraq in the early eighties during Iran and their eight year war with Iraq. Our best and brightest minds said that of these two countries, we would hope that Iraq would prevail in a war between the two.
CALLER: Exactly.
RUSH: So we did a line with Saddam Hussein in the early days of the —
CALLER: Well, according to Wolfowitz and Perle, the Iraq war was supposed to pay with their oil, with Iraq’s oil to pay for this war, and it never happened.
RUSH: Well, plus they didn’t give us our nerve gas back.
CALLER: I don’t care about the nerve gas.
RUSH: Now, what does this have to do with Egypt? Is there a bridge?
CALLER: Yes, there is. Because they see what happened in Iraq, and they see what happened in Egypt and all over the Arab countries they’re thinking that we have no power. That’s what this has to do with Egypt.
RUSH: Okay. All right. I’m totally clear on all this, except how Israel runs me.
CALLER: Well, you know, what network are you on?
RUSH: I’m on the EIB Network.
CALLER: Okay, who runs that?
RUSH: I do.
CALLER: You do?
RUSH: Yes.
CALLER: All right. Well, maybe Israel doesn’t run you, but —
RUSH: Oh, are you saying that this is the Jews own the media business and so therefore we have to be loyal to the owners of the media?
CALLER: Yeah, businesses is business, right?
RUSH: Oh, I see, okay.
CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: No, no, no. That’s not me. That’s other people.
CALLER: Okay. All right. Whatever you say.
RUSH: I’m telling you. Israel does not have a stake in the EIB Network.
CALLER: Okay, fine.
RUSH: Air America, that’s another story, but not here.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: It always happens. We get calls like we’ve had two or three of them today, and I go to the e-mail in box, and invariably, ‘Rush, why are you taking these calls? Where are you finding these people? W-w-why are you wasting our time?’ Folks, these are your Democrat voters. This is the American left. We’re doing a service here in helping you to understand who they are, how they think, what it is that motivates ’em and inspires ’em. They are your countrymen.

RUSH: Yeah, Mr. Rockefeller? (pause) Yeah, yeah, yeah. (pause) They do. They think it’s the Jews. (pause) Yeah. Yeah. (pause) Ha-ha-ha! It’s working. It’s working perfectly, sir. (pause) Uh… No, no, no. No, no, no. Thank you, I appreciate that. I really do. I’ll see you next meeting. (pause) No, no, no, they really do! They think it’s the Jews! You’ll have to hear it. I’ll send you the tape. (pause) Okay.
