RUSH: Tyler in Toronto, Ontario, great to have you with us here in America on the EIB Network. Welcome.

CALLER: Hey, Rush. I’m one of the few young people out here who has not been brainwashed into liberalism, and I called to give you a warning.

RUSH: Uh-oh.

CALLER: I live in Canada and I have seen what happens when a country tilts leftward, and we do have a conservative prime minister and Canada is a good country, don’t get me wrong, but it is no America. And one day I may live in America and if I get there I want it to be the same exceptional shining city on a hill it has always been. So everyone out there fighting the good fight, you have to keep it up, you have to stand up for what has made America great, it is worth the fight.

RUSH: We will.

CALLER: I don’t want to see America just become another mediocre nation. I want to arrive one day and enjoy the type of America you enjoy. So please keep up the fight. I have confidence that you will succeed in preserving it for future generations because you’re Americans, you’re tough, you’re determined, and you’ll do it, I’m just here to give you some encouragement because I’m someone who looks at America as the last best hope. It really is. Do not let it slip away because being American is a privilege and I think many people around the world would love to have that privilege, so don’t take it for granted.

RUSH: We don’t. The problem here is not so much that people take it for granted, it’s that they don’t appreciate it at all. They don’t look at it the same way you do. They look at America as a crime. They look at America as unjust and immoral and all of those things, but they’re a minority, Tyler, they really are. We’re being led by people like that, though, that’s the problem and their allies in the media are of that same persuasion. But check out November. We have an energized American public. And as Fouad Ajami mentioned in his Wall Street Journal piece earlier in the week, a lot of people have sobered up and realized what a mistake they made in a fleeting moment in November of 2008. We’ve elected an untested prima donna, zero, zilch, nada experience, and it’s coming home to roost, clear for one and all to see, and the guy thinks he’s better and smarter than everybody else, is an aristocrat, an elitist, and is hell-bent on getting even with whatever he thinks the grievances of this country have been in the past. Barack Obama equals politics of grievance. He has rallied an entire nation against him, and, believe me, it’s a larger number of people than you would ever know, Tyler, because the media of course is not portraying these numbers accurately.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Toronto, Canada, Jonathan, our second Canadian call of the day. Nice to have you on the program, sir.

CALLER: Hello, Rush. Great Canadian dittos to you.

RUSH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER: I have two questions for you real quick. My first question is when will have an AM radio affiliate in Canada, and my second question is when will you go on a speaking tour in Canada?

RUSH: A speaking tour. Well, I don’t do speaking tours much anymore. I try to do as little of that as possible. Way back when, Canadian radio station — the problem is the Canadian broadcasting is so regulated that, I forget what the reason was, we tried. Part of it is advertising revenue not — you know, we’re a national advertising revenue vehicle for American products but there was also something to do with the CBA, the Canadian Broadcast Authority, whatever it is, that gave us a problem. I can’t remember what it was.

CALLER: Well, the regulatory authority up here is the CRTC, and they control all the radio and television up here.

RUSH: Yeah, okay, CRTC, yeah, that’s what it is, CRTC.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: You probably have to be balanced, as the way they define it. Speaking tour in Canada, now that’s intriguing, though. There’s some really, really cool spots in Canada to go to. (laughing) Snerdley says three. More than three. There’s more than three great spots in Canada to go to. Just don’t go up there if you think you’re going to have a medical problem.
