RUSH: Lubbock, Texas. Greg. Great to have you on Open Line Friday. Hi.
CALLER: Hi, Rush. Dittos from home of the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: We sure love you in Lubbock and appreciate all you do for our country.
RUSH: Thank you, sir, very much.
CALLER: Hey, I wanted to make a leadership-style comparison based on the assertion that finding Faisal Shahzad was blind luck. I don’t think that blind luck existed as a result of the people on the streets — the agents, Customs agents, FBI agents — but as a result of the level of incompetence much higher up the food chain. And, as such, I think it would be a fair comparison to compare the leadership style of Department of Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano to Chief Inspector Jacques Cousteau in the old Pink Panther movies where —
RUSH: (laughing)
CALLER: — despite outrageous incompetence, he always managed to catch the thief.
RUSH: Yeah. (laughing) Dumb luck. (laughing) But he was much funnier than Big Sis.
CALLER: Sure enough.
RUSH: (laughing)
CALLER: And, honestly, probably better looking, too.
RUSH: Yeah, Inspector Clouseau, Keystone Cops. (laughing) I love it! Laughing at the regime. Laughing at the regime. That’s the best thing we can do is ridicule the regime.
