RUSH: Yesterday we played audio sound bites from Robert Gibbs, the White House spokesman saying he doesn’t have a radio, he doesn’t listen to the radio, have to plug in his iPod, said he has to watch some of the cable chatter — that’s a White House term — he doesn’t really like it, he doesn’t have a radio. So I said yesterday I’m sure that our buddies at our affiliate in Washington, AM 630 WMAL could arrange for Gibbs to get a radio. Today it happened and I have a picture, I’m holding it here in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers. Ann Compton of ABC News, the emissary from WMAL AM 630 in Washington, presenting Robert Gibbs a radio in his office. The radio’s in the box. The caption to the picture, ‘Okay, Robert, here’s how you turn it on.’
Let me zoom in. There you have it. I know it’s out of focus. I only have two hands here and I can’t focus it for you, but you get the basic idea. For those of you on radio, we’re showing this to our subscribers at RushLimbaugh.com, the website Rush 24/7. That’s Ann Compton of ABC News giving Robert Gibbs the radio that we asked he be given yesterday. The caption to the picture, ‘In response to his comment that he doesn’t even own a radio, ABC News vet Ann Compton dropped by the White House this morning to deliver a radio and some hands-on instructions on how to use the device to Robert Gibbs.’ And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Gibbs now has a radio and instructions on how to use it.
