RUSH: Topeka, Kansas. John, thanks for the call. You’re up first today. Hello.
CALLER: Hi, Rush, John Cooney. Thanks for taking my call.
RUSH: You bet, John Cooney.
CALLER: Hey… (laughing) The one and only John Cooney, like the one and only Rush Limbaugh. Ha ha. Hey, I want to talk about our governor out here, Governor Kathleen Sebelius, who James Carville last year said should be at the top of the list for running mate for Barack Obama; which also would be a white women. So probably — instead of Hillary, he can always grab Kathleen. Well, in the last two months Kathleen has blocked a coal-fired plant that was going to be a three-and-a-half-billion-dollar investment in western Kansas, which is suffering, and the health department approved the plan. She vetoed the plan on her own, and on top of that, there was an oil company out of Texas — Hyperion, you can do a word search — that was going to put a $10 billion oil refinery in my county, and they said because Kathleen Sebelius just flippantly used carbon emissions and global warming as her reason for rejecting the coal-powered plant — even though it met federal regulations — they said they were not going to come to Kansas and put in $10 billion, so we lost $14 billion. On top of that, Rush, she just hosted a fundraiser with pictures on the front page of the Capital-Journal for Tiller the killer abortion doctor. So, this is who is the possible running mate of Barack Obama.
RUSH: I know her name’s been thrown around. She is extreme, as you have pointed out, and she has taken these unilateral steps. I’ve read about the coal plant she tried to shut down.
CALLER: Not oil refinery. The oil refinery is the bigger story. We haven’t had a oil refinery in 30 years, and this is affecting us as at the pump, you know?
RUSH: Well, I’ll bet you that if you search the archives of the beloved Governor of Kansas Kathleen Sebelius, you’ll also find her bitching and moaning about the fact that we still depend on too much foreign oil.
CALLER: And, by the way, one more thing, Rush. The archbishop of Kansas City has promptly come out in the last three weeks and said she should not receive communion because of her radical pro-choice, partial-birth abortion views and that she should also publicly apologize for her position — and if she doesn’t, he will follow it up with more, and that’s the third story on Kathleen Sebelius.
RUSH: All right, well, John Cooney from Topeka Kansas.
CALLER: You got it!
RUSH: The one and only John Cooney from Topeka, Kansas. Check the Topeka Kansas phone book and see if you can find another John Cooney in it, Mr. Snerdley. (laughing) Just kidding. This is who the libs celebrate. One of the things that’s happening… Our party is in total disarray and I understand this and I know it, but so is the Democrats. The Democrats just aren’t quite as aware of it as they should be. They think they have a lock on the election, the presidential election in November. So, as I have mentioned countless times on previous occasions, the Democrats are very, very comfortable — on occasion — telling us exactly who they are, such as Kathleen Sebelius not bothering to mask who and what she really believes. The fact that she is being mentioned in the top tier of Obama vice presidential possibilities is indication enough of where this party is and where they want to go.
