RUSH: Found another Barack Obama YouTube video, ladies and gentlemen. This is back in 2007. This is a video that Obama made for a far left-wing organization in 2007, and if this gets wide airplay, Mrs. Clinton may yet have a chance. The rules committee and the bylaws committee meet tomorrow in Washington. There are planned protests. Women from across the spectrum are angry at what is being taken away from them via being hijacked from Mrs. Clinton by a rookie, a dweeb. Reverend Pfleger was right. Our Official Obama Criticizer got it right. And, by the way, Reverend Pfleger is not even original. I am the one who pointed out how Hillary feels. You know damn well they’re sitting around… I’ve said this. I’ve said this months ago, Reverend Pfleger is a plagiarist. I said it in a little bit more dignified and classy manner than he did — and of course I said it to you, not from the pulpit of Obama’s church. But nevertheless if this video gets out, Mrs. Clinton may yet have a chance. This is Obama taping this message for the Caucus for Priorities, which is ‘a campaign that set out to recruit 10,000 Iowa caucus attendees to pledge support for the presidential candidate who is strongest in their commitment to significantly shift Pentagon funds to unmet social needs,’ and this is a video that Obama made for that group to convince them he was their guy to disarm the United States of America. The name of the group is the Caucus for Priorities, and here’s what he said to them.
RUSH: That’s Barack Obama in 2007 with a taped video appeal to a group called the Caucus for Priorities, getting ready to gin up for the Iowa cauci, the Hawkeye Cauci in early January 2008. This is truly bizarre. This is the first step toward disarming the United States — and of course it presumes that the world will follow our lead in everything we do. It is not just bizarre. It is ignorant, it is risky and at the same time it is arrogant — and when I saw this, when it was first shown to me yesterday, I said, ‘This has gotta be… I need proof of this. I can’t believe that this hasn’t gotten out. I cannot believe that this has not been more widely disbursed and distributed.’ I said, ‘I need some proof on this.’ We went out and we researched it. We found it is true, a story here from March the 4th: ‘Senator Barack Obama is facing renewed criticism,’ and this is from the Cybercast News Service, ‘regarding his national security policies is he continues his campaign for the Democrat nomination.
‘In a YouTube video that Obama made for a liberal pacifist organization last year he called for major cuts in defense spending, slowing the development of future combat systems, and cutting investments in America’s ballistic missile defense program.’ So it’s real. What you heard is real, and it is something that is frightening. Look, it’s patently obviously who this guy is. Make no mistake about it. This is a huge pacifist from the far-left fringe who is seeking the Oval Office. In fact, this was just posted a couple days ago at Marc Ambinder’s blog at TheAtlantic.com; 29th of May, actually, so it’s yesterday.
‘At a fundraiser in Denver last night Sen. Barack Obama,’ this would be the 28th that he said this, ‘signaled that he would use the grace period of his first 100 days in office to push through national health insurance plan. In general, a fresh administration is given some latitude to pursue a single domestic policy goal; think of George W. Bush and No Child Left Behind — although Democrats were a bit shell-shocked then. … By putting health care reform into the 100 day [honeymoon grace] period, Obama is also acknowledging that his election would not immediately clear the tracks and usher in a period of glorious liberal accomplishments; instead, he’ll need this artificial booster.’
So the point here is that — and by the way, I’m not sure I buy into this notion that the president gets to accomplish whatever he wants in the first hundred days. Can we go back? I mean, Mrs. Clinton was off and running on her own health care plan in 1993 in the first 100 days. But the theory is that he’s gonna get a honeymoon, the Congress is going to let him do whatever he wants first thing out of the box because it’s tradition, and after that then they’re going to get tough with him and he’s going to have to fight for what he wants? So the theory is here that he’s gotta do health care first when nobody is standing in the way because it’s not going to be that easy to do after the first hundred days, which means the country is not as socialist and liberal as Mr. Obama and many in the Democrat Party think it is.
