RUSH: Bridgeport, West Virginia, as we start on the phones on Open Line Friday. This is Gordon. Great to have you here, sir.
CALLER: A field report from Operation Chaos in West Virginia, sir.
RUSH: Yes, sir?
CALLER: Yesterday, President Bill Clinton was in Clarksburg, West Virginia, orating from someone’s front porch with several hundred people around; and during the course of his comments, he was noting that the big difference between Hillary and Barack Obama was how they viewed or looked down on other people.
RUSH: Yes. I read that someplace. I don’t know if I’ve got the sound bite, but I know exactly what you’re talking about. Nah, this isn’t it. I know he’s basically talking about elitism and he’s saying Obama is elite and the Clintons are real people, and they understand what real people think and want and do. And Obama’s out there, and he’s one of these elitists and thinks he knows what’s better for everybody, while looking down on them. Something like that, right?
CALLER: Exactly.
RUSH: Well, what was your reaction to this?
CALLER: I had to laugh, because with them being as real people, I mean, looking at how much money they make and where they, you know, hang their hat and what circles they run in; they’re kind of in the same ballpark.
RUSH: Listen to this. Listen to this. Audio sound bite number ten. Remember John Kerry going in that place, ‘Can I get me a huntin’ license, here?’ Obama was in Indiana at a bar, and this is what he said.
OBAMA: I’m going to have a Bud.
WOMAN: (giggling)
OBAMA: What you got? Bloody Mary here or something?
VOICE: Yes.
OBAMA: A Bloody Mary for this gentleman.
RUSH: So he’s in there and he ordered a Budweiser at a bar in Indiana. ‘What you got up there, Bloody Mary? Bloody Mary.’ So he’s buying adult beverages for Indianans at the bar. ‘Got a Bud? Got a Bud?’ Yeah. So they’re all trying to get to these white blue-collar voters now, folks.
