CALLER: Hey, Rush. I bet you never knew there was a Moscow Mills, Missouri, did you?
RUSH: You’re exactly right.
CALLER: I didn’t either ’til I bought a house here.
RUSH: You bought a house there before you ever moved there and knew it existed?
CALLER: I was in California on the Internet and checked prices, et cetera, and this was the best buy, in my opinion.
RUSH: Did you have a job there to go to?
CALLER: Well, actually, I’m retired, but when I moved to California to Sacramento, I had a job and I was training a young man, since you asked about the job, and he says, ‘You gotta listen to this guy on the radio.’ This was ’89.
RUSH: Yeah?
CALLER: And the rest is history. My wife and I, my wife, Terri and I, we’ve listened to you, you’re part of the family.
RUSH: I appreciate that. Well, I don’t hear very often the fact people buy houses in places they’ve never been.
CALLER: Oh, no, no, no. I was from Missouri.
RUSH: But Moscow Mills you’ve never been to.
CALLER: Well, no, but it’s far enough out.
RUSH: (laughter) All right.
CALLER: Listen, the reason I called, I wanted to kind of give you a background because I’ve listened to you for seems like forever.
RUSH: ’89, yes.
CALLER: Yeah. And best monologue you’ve ever had. I mean you need to replay it. It will go in the archives for sure, but I mean it should be like maybe the first one that’s played.
RUSH: You mean this thing we opened the program with?
CALLER: The monologue, I’m sorry.
RUSH: The thing we opened the program with When Johnny Comes Marching —
CALLER: Awesome. It was awesome.
RUSH: Well, thank you.
CALLER: You’ve done a lot of great things, but that’s your best.
RUSH: That’s saying something.
CALLER: I think it is.
RUSH: We’re in our 20th year here and to say that was the best, that’s a tough judgment call.
CALLER: And the thing is, I’ve got the 24/7, and I watched you after you came back from vacation, and I must say, you were overly prepared. But today, in between, you know, I watch you on the breaks. In between, man, you were working, because you were pumped.
RUSH: The show prep never stops. This is one of the great things, people can watch this program take place during the program if they have the Dittocam, if they’re a member of Rush 24/7 at RushLimbaugh.com. Yeah the show prep never stops. Three hours here and I’m mentally wiped out for about ten minutes. Gotta get it back. You’re very nice, Rich, I appreciate that. Thanks much.
