CHENEY: Now in the closing days of this campaign, John Kerry is trying every which way to cover up his record of weakness on national defense. But he can’t do it. It won’t work. As we like to say in Wyoming, “You can put all the lipstick you want on a pig but at the end of the day it’s still a pig.” (Laughter)
RUSH: I wanted to hear the laughter. That’s a great line. Go to the phones, here. Bill in Salem, Oregon</a>. I’m glad you waited, sir. Welcome to the EIB Network.
CALLER: Hi, Rush. Mega dittos from the People’s Republic of Oregon.
RUSH: Thank you, sir.
CALLER: Third-time caller. Appreciate your taking my call.
RUSH: You bet.
RUSH: Well, there is that. I can see where you would make that conclusion, and I think Kerry is a senator, as a legislator, probably is prone to micromanaging everything. I think that’s why his campaign staff has swelled to twice normal size, and I think that’s why you probably have a good conclusion here, but there’s another factor, and that is it’s a campaign. He’s going to blame Bush for everything. I mean, that’s what the opposition candidate always does. But that doesn’t mean that you’re not onto something. I think that Kerry would try to micromanage as much as he could, because he’s smarter than everybody else. Kerry is not the kind of guy that’s going to delegate a whole lot of things. Nobody is smart as he is! But when something goes wrong? Oh ho-ho! Guess who he’s going to blame first? Everybody else. Not himself.
