RUSH: I really can’t believe that, Howell Raines just ripped me off. Just ripped me off. I guess it is. I mean, even when you leave the New York Times you commit plagiarism. You know, it’s just amazing. I know what they’re going to say, “Well, I don’t listen to Limbaugh. I mean, I never heard him say that.” Well, of course. If that’s the case, if that’s what Howell Raines will say, if he will deny his plagiarism of ripping off my nickname for John Kerry, Lurch from the Addams Family — he even talks about, what is it, “Lurch had gone to Choate, got an Addams Family face,” is what he says.
The only thing he doesn’t say that I said is that this guy gets out of a coffin every morning to go to work. And for all I know, that is in the piece. I haven’t read the whole piece. But if they’re going to deny — I know they’ll deny it. Of course he’ll not even be confronted with it. The press will not go, “You understand that you stole that from Rush Limbaugh?” No, no, that will never happen. But if it were to happen, he’d say, “I never listen to Limbaugh” So the obvious conclusion to that is then I’m not the only one that thinks this guy looks like Lurch and all that that stands for and represents, not even the Democrats think this guy looks like somebody that’s actually alive and breathing.
